Managing your core thoughts

We all have core thoughts that have been developed from childhood observations of our parents and other experiences we have had growing up ,this type of unconscious conditioning takes place to influence our behaviour, core thoughts can trigger protective thoughts that can protect us through our lives,however when these core thoughts are maladaptive they can cause the individual cognitive distortions through negative thought and self critical thoughts which drive confused or damaging behaviours.

 It is good for the individual as a first step to understand this process ,the realisation of the maladaptive thought process will allow the individual to analyse there critical thought process,with the collaboration with a CBT therapist the process of recovery can start on a firm foundation.
